Senior Java Developer
Looklet is a B2B Fashion-technology company with world-leading high-end fashion e-commerce retailers as clients. At Looklet we create magic by combining engineering with fashion and photography.
Being a fashion-tech company means cross-functional innovation. You collaborate with other people specialised in software development, hardware construction, photography and fashion to create the solutions behind the Looklet magic.
As a Looklet developer, you will truly be part of a small team of the best developers world-wide. Our developers have experience in world-leading technologies and now power the magic of Looklet technology.
To facilitate idea discussions and debates, our development team is housed in one location in the heart of Stockholm at Medborgarplatsen. Here, all 80 of your soon to be colleagues are easily accessible within a few short meters roll of your chair.
Our clients can freely mix and match models, body variation and styling items. To create this flexibility, each base body splits up in 800 digital assets. We’ve migrated away from physical data centers and use 150-200 cloud-based auto-scaling instances to follow the daily and seasonal production of our clients with a current peak load of 8000 images per day. We freely innovate over our code base split in 100 services. And we are not done. We continue to invest 30% of our income on further developing our products.
Looklet developers are a select group of world-class engineers whose backgrounds range from entrepreneurship in the open source world, skilled self-learners, as well as developers of Java, and we're looking to expand our team. Looklet, a leader in fashion-technology, offers the opportunity to work in a unique, energetic, extremely cross-functional environment that prizes innovation and creative thinking. Work with people experienced in software development, hardware construction, photography and fashion to create the solutions behind the Looklet magic.
Other technologies used includes Spring Boot, Redis, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, Tomcat and RabbitMQ.
We are developing a DevOps culture and platform, and to support this we are using technologies like Jira, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Alpine, COS, Ubuntu, StackDriver, Kibana, BigQuery, and Google Data Studio.
